"Bangalore ka auto wala" ... though looks a singular word, but infact it is not ..its plural representing a hoard of people. They are a group of autorickshaw drivers which are ready to bash you for opposing there demands, ready to take law in hand at any time, any time is a good time to ask for extra money even though rate has been increased for more then 70% in five years and so on. Driven by bheed mentality they gather very quickly and start fighting. I remember in my home town, almost 8 years ago, no auto wala dare do anything against passengers. Not sure what has changed there, but definitely there is a lawlessness here when auto wala is concerned. If nothing is done quickly they will definitely be the crime makers in city soon. Earlier they use to bash hindi/english speaking people, but since no one stopped them, they don't bother about localities as well. They don't give a damn to police as well. Police men will be standing and watching while these people will be on rampage.
I have made a decision, not to use autos any more until it is the last option and if don't use it some thing horrible will happen. I will use bus, I will walk, I will get my bike repaired, buy a car, start early in the day ...do any thing except taking an auto.
Hope metro starts and the network completes soon, its already in test phase in MG road, another 2-3 years to complete cross bangalore at the pace it is going on, that will be the divine vengeance for these auto walas who will be reprimanded of the fact that customer is god and not the purse whom you should rob.
